Matt is a recognized leader in Catholic marketing and communication in the Church in the United States. Matt has been at the forefront of several Catholic ministries and initiatives since he began fulltime service to the Church in 1991, including Ascension Press, CatholicExchange.com, and the Theology of the Body Institute. He is a best-selling Catholic author, whose books include the teen question-and- answer books Did Adam and Eve Have Belly Buttons?, Did Jesus Have a Last Name?, and Do I Have to Go: 101 Questions about the Mass, the Eucharist, and Your Spiritual Life, as well as the Amazing Grace Series. Matt also co-authored A Guide to the Passion: 100 Questions About the Passion of the Christ, which went on to sell more than a million copies and reached #6 on the New York Times Religion Best-Seller List. Bob Blaisse founded Spark Catholic Communications to deliver contemporary “Catholic” signage to the front lines of Catholic evangelization with a strong belief that since the day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit has guided the Catholic Church and uses, people, signs and symbols to inspire Christian faith and devotion. Bob is sure the “spark” of Christian faith and Catholic identity can be ignited today through contemporary banners and signage displayed within Catholic communities. As a Founder of Spark Catholic Communications, Bob uses his more than 25 years of business experience and Catholic teaching to oversee Spark Catholic’s operations. Bob holds a B.S. in Business Management from Widener University, an M.A. in Catholic Religious Studies from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary and a Graduate Catechetical Diploma from the Sacred Congregation for the Clergy in Rome. Bob is a founding board member of The Theology of the Body Institute and serves numerous other non-profit boards and organizations, including past service to the Pastoral and Finance Committees of his own Catholic parish St. Anastasia, Newtown Square, PA where Bob resides with his wife Jean and their four sons.
Joe Montfort heads the Creative Design and Product Development teams at Spark Catholic Communications. Joe has a passion for graphic design and holds a M.S. in Internet marketing from Full Sail University and B.F.A from Ringling College of Art & Design. Joe has lived and worked in the Tampa Bay area for many years as a graphic artist at HSN (Home Shopping Network) and creative director for a local marketing agency.
Joe was raised in the protestant church. After meeting his wife Jennifer he experienced the “spark” of grace that led him to convert to the Catholic faith. Joe found the perfect opportunity to express his love of Christ and creativity by taking a leap of faith and relocating his family to Chester County, Pennsylvania. Where he joined Spark Catholic’s mission to build stronger Catholic communities through contemporary graphic imagery mixed with faithful Catholic messaging.
